Two members of the WIPFAB team, Alina Karabchevsky and Stuart Pearce, won second prize for ‘Rainbow on a chip: tasting molecular cocktails’ in the annual Brilliance in Research - Art and Photography Competition of the ORC. The photograph shows light guided in glass waveguides, which provide a platform for multi-array detection of molecular signatures in a liquid sample. A tear-sized droplet has been placed into a liquid reservoir for on-chip chemical analysis. More information on this competition entry can be found here.
