Prof James S Wilkinson
Principal Investigator
James S Wilkinson leads this European Research Council Grant on “Wideband Integrated Photonics for Accessible Biomedical Diagnostics” and is responsible for overall scientific direction and project management.
Dr Senthil M Ganapathy
Principal Research Fellow
Senthil leads the mid-infrared (MIR) materials discovery and MIR device characterisation. He established and manages the MIR waveguide characterisation facility.
Dr David J Rowe
Research Fellow
Dave works on translating novel photonics into lab-on-a-chip devices for biomedical applications. He is particularly interested in mid-infrared spectroscopies and point-of-care diagnostics.
Dr Alina Karabchevsky
Research Fellow
Alina explores theoretically and establishes experimentally a surface enhanced absorption due to the near- and mid-infrared light interaction with novel materials and nanostructures on integrated-on-chip devices for point of care applications.
Mr Jonathan Butement
PhD Student
Integrated microflow cytometer immunoassays
Mr Zilong Wang
PhD Student
Zilong is developing Surface Enhanced Raman Spectrocopy (SERS) chips for Point-of-care (PoC) diagnostics. He is under supervision of Prof James S Wilkinson and Prof Philip N Bartlett.
Ms Vinita Mittal
PhD Student
Vinita's research is focussed on the fabrication of integrated photonic devices using novel materials for the mid infrared region, for biomedical diagnostic applications.
